The Miss Boston & Miss Cambridge Scholarship Organization is a wonderful organization dedicated to providing opportunities for women in the Boston & Cambridge area with scholarships, public speaking opportunities, and to support for Miss America’s official platform: Children’s Miracle Network. 

I loved getting to design the autograph cards for this year’s Miss Boston, Morgan Berg and Miss Cambridge, Carrie Sunde. The photographs are beautiful and these girls are up to amazing work.

LAUREL HILL FLORAL DESIGN

Laurel Hill Floral Design is based out of owner Laura Chadwell’s home in East Boston, MA. She is a third generation florist who started her training gathering scraps of flowers as they fell from her mother’s arranging table. She specializes in special events and weddings.

BOSTON CHORAL ENSEMBLE
ROSE SONGS

I am the designer for the Boston based choral group; The Boston Choral Ensemble (BCE) 2012-2013 Season. They are a chamber choir that seeks to enrich the choral art through innovative programming, artistic excellence, and creative collaboration. BCE is dedicated to performing a wide range of repertoire with stylistic integrity, promoting new music, and educating its audience and singers.  

Flowers are the theme of Boston Choral Ensemble’s spring concert, with special emphasis on the beautiful rose coming up this Friday on May 17th. Check www.bostonchoral.org for more information on this program featuring music by Rutter, Elgar, and Lauridsen and featuring the Five Flower Songs, Op. 47 by Benjamin Britten, in celebration of 100th anniversary of the composer’s birth.

Weddings require so much attention to detail, but can be so much fun to work on. I was asked to design a bridal shower that included a bride, flowers and the color purple. Check out what the client had to say:

THE YEAR OF THE ENGAGEMENT

There has been a lot of love this year! I recently got into doing engagement and wedding photography. I’ve been lucky enough to have some people in my life who let me run with my concepts.  It’s amazing to have complete freedom to create an artistic vision and I think they are happy with the results too!

I really love taking an idea of what the couples interests are, what is important to them and the type of relationship they have into account when I’m shooting them. I always create a vision board and posing concepts as well. It’s best to have some ideas running through their heads so you don’t get that “deer in headlights” kind of look.

RESUME DESIGN

Designing resumes has become one of my new favorite tasks. It’s a really great way to showcase your individuality and personality when you are job hunting. Tons of resumes make their way in front of hiring managers, sometimes hundreds for one position. This is the perfect way to stand out. Check out what my recent client had to say:

BRITTANY & MATT ENGAGEMENT II

Brittany and Matt are both artistic in their own right, so it seemed appropriate to pop into the ICA for a quick photo with the installation by artist Swoon. There’s a good chance you’ve encountered Swoon’s work before: her intricately cut, life-sized portraits have covered abandoned buildings and warehouses in cities around the world.
